Saints, Buccaneers favourites on Week 11 NFL odds board

The New Orleans Saints will be without quarterback Drew Brees when they host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon as 5-point home favourites on the Week 11 NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Brees suffered serious injuries to his ribs and lung in New Orleans’ 27-13 victory over San Francisco last weekend, setting the stage for Jameis Winston to make his first start under center since joining the team in Sunday afternoon’s matchup at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Saints ride a six-game straight-up win streak that leaves them with a slim lead over second-place Tampa Bay in the NFC South standings. The Buccaneers’ starting pivot for five years prior to signing with New Orleans earlier this year, Winston has been prolific in previous dates with the Falcons. Winston has thrown 23 touchdown passes over his past seven meetings with Atlanta, but led Tampa Bay to just two wins over that stretch.

The Falcons arrive in the Big Easy on a 3-1 SU run, including outright wins as underdogs at sports betting sites in their past two road dates. Atlanta has also risen to the occasion in recent clashes with the Saints, going 4-1 SU and ATS in five meetings since December 2017 according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Bucs will try to keep pace with New Orleans when they host the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night as 4-point chalk. Tampa Bay is coming off a crushing 46-23 win over Carolina to improve to 3-1 SU at home this season. However, the Bucs have been a disappointment for bettors at home, covering in just two home contests since the start of last season.

The Rams claimed a share of the top spot in the NFC West with a narrow 23-16 win over Seattle last weekend. However, consistency has been an issue for Los Angeles, which has tallied consecutive wins just once since Week 2, and lost outright in three of its past four road dates.

Elsewhere on the NFL Week 11 odds, the Seahawks will be looking to reclaim their perch atop the NFC West division standings when they host the rival Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night as 3-point betting favourites. Seattle has cooled off since opening the season on a 5-0 SU run, losing three of four, and has lost outright in four of its last six home dates with Arizona, all as the betting favourite.

And in NFC East action, the Philadelphia Eagles will try to strengthen their tenuous grip on first place as they visit Cleveland as 3.5-point underdogs, while the Dallas Cowboys look to halt a four-game slide as they visit the surging Minnesota Vikings as 7-point underdogs.
