Report: NBA players planning NBA 2K tournament during COVID-19 pandemic

With the NBA season on hiatus, players are looking for other ways to keep fans entertained.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the league is planning a players-only NBA 2K tournament that could start as early as Friday.

It’s unclear which players will be participating in the tournament but Haynes adds that each team is expected to have a representative. It’s expected the event will feature “some big-name players.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, players like Luka Doncic, Devin Booker, Josh Hart, Alex Caruso, Patrick Beverley, and Trae Young have been playing video games and setting up live Twitch streams to pass the time.
