Holm out-points Aldana; De Randamie chokes out Pena

Former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm is on her first multi-fight winning streak since 2015 after earning a unanimous decision victory over Irene Aldana in the featured bout on a UFC Fight Night card over the weekend.

Holm, who is now 2-0 in 2020 after beating Raquel Pennington in January, swept the judges’ scorecards over five rounds at the Flash Forum on Yas Island (aka Fight Island) in Abu Dhabi.

Also on the main card, inaugural women’s featherweight champ Germaine de Randamie earned her first career submission win when she choked Julianna Pena unconscious with a third-round guillotine choke in their bantamweight bout.

De Randamie and Holm are currently ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 contenders, respectively, in the women’s 135-pound division.
