Everything About The 2018 Masters

Golf is one of the most intense competitions that everyone look forward to. The element of excitement is what makes the competition fun to watch.

This competition is divided in parts and the first one is for the competing players. In this part, the golfers are given guidelines to make sure they are in the right competition. The next part focuses on game preparations such as the game rules, training and putting up of gears. The last part is nerve wracking as it is where the golfers prepare their mindset for the game itself.

The game of golf involves a ball and different clubs where the players choose among the clubs could and which among them could give them the best shot and could score the ball in a hole. Unlike most games, golf does not need a standardized court. Every golf course is different from each other when it comes to the design. However, each golf course must consist of 9 or 18 holes. However, like any other game, there are certain rules and golfing regulations that players are to follow.

Every golfer’s number of stroke is counted in the game. Every golfer has his own strokes when playing. In golf, each player has to defeat his opponent in a match play scoring system.

Originated in 12th century Scotland, this game was just a pastime to shepherds who compete with each other in kicking stones into rabbit holes. This goal is still used in golfing these days and the only difference is that golfers use clubs instead of just kicking the ball.

Now, golfing has become a famous competition of different types. These include the following:

Stroke play or the medal play

This type of competition is widely used in professional tournaments. In the stroke or medal play, each golfer must complete all 18 holes in the course and the player the lowest total net scores when it comes to number of strokes wins.

The match play

In this type of golf competition, golfers play in teams with the same objective and the team that gets the most number of holes wins. Match plays are mostly used in golf clubs with many club members and since this type of competition is played by teams, the rules and regulations must be strictly followed by each golfers.

Scramble

In this type of golfing, each player scores the balls in a hole and it will be decided which among the shots is the best one. This type of golf is also known as the play-off because after a player finishes his drill, the other ones follow the same procedure until the end of the game. Scramble is very popular among golf enthusiasts because it is the less complicated among all the other types

Skin Competition

In this competition, each hole contains a prize called a ‘skin’ and each of the players need to score each skin first. The prize is called the ‘skin’ because it is a bag made of skin which contains cash prize.

Flag

The mechanics is this type of competition is quite simple, first, the players must allot a number of strokes which they are only allowed to use all throughout the game and when they are actually playing, all they need to do is score as much holes as they can using the number of strokes fixed.

There are many more types of golf competition and in the 2018 Masters Review, these competitions will be played by golfing enthusiasts such as Iain Sharpe and other famous ones from around the world.
