It’s a tough weekend for fantasy owners who must juggle rosters as stars from the Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, and Indianapolis Colts are all on bye. My five sleeper picks give you an option at QB, RB, TE, WR and even on defence. Now let’s go win your matchup!
As always, hit me up with any fantasy questions on Twitter @AndyMc81 using #AskAndy.
Jerick McKinnon – RB – 49ers
Yahoo! League ownership: 82 percent
Draft Kings salary: $5,800
Raheem Mostert is officially on the injured reserve list so dust off Jerick McKinnon folks! Teammate JaMycal Hasty is a popular late-week waiver add, but McKinnon gets my vote as the running back of choice in San Francisco.
The Atlanta native is already a consistent part of the offence and excelled in the first four games of Mostert’s absence. He averaged 17.71-fantasy points in PPR formats during that stretch and has four total touchdowns in 2020. Hasty could certainly light it up in New England, but I’d feel more comfortable sliding McKinnon into my Flex spot with his proven production.

Darren Fells – TE – Texans
Yahoo! League ownership: 17 per cent
Draft Kings salary: $4,100
Darren Fells is the best widely available streaming tight end option for Week 7 with Jordan Akins highly doubtful to suit up against Green Bay. There are a couple of rules to follow if you are in need of TE help when it comes to Fells. It must be a PPR league and he’s got to get you a touchdown.
The veteran scored in consecutive games without Akins in the lineup and saw his targets rise to seven in the loss to Tennessee. I’d expect a ticked off Aaron Rodgers to try and sling it Sunday, which of course benefits all Houston weapons including the reliable TE if a shootout develops. Fells is a catch and fall down type of safety option that can move the chains as well as finish in the red zone.
Christian Kirk – WR – Cardinals
Yahoo! League ownership: 51 per cent
Draft Kings salary: $4,900
I wrote last Saturday that you should start Christian Kirk and I’m saying it again because he’s still being overlooked. He’s somebody you need to squeeze onto your roster, especially since DeAndre Hopkins is still hobbled from a bum ankle and hasn’t practiced all week. Let’s also sprinkle in that the Cardinals are facing a Seattle squad that’s allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season!
In his past three outings, Kirk’s secured a trio of touchdown passes and hit double-digit fantasy points each time. As a WR-3 or Flex it makes too much sense to not scoop him up.

Joe Burrow – QB – Bengals
Yahoo! League ownership: 63 per cent
Draft Kings salary: $5,500
Fellow rookie Justin Herbert has stolen the spotlight from the first-overall draft pick recently, but don’t count out Joe Burrow Sunday. Based on volume alone he warrants fantasy flyer consideration. Burrow leads the NFL in pass attempts and is eighth in passing yards. Factor in that running back Joe Mixon will miss this “Battle of Ohio” showdown and the reigning Heisman Trophy winner should be forced to air it out. Back in Week 2 when Cincinnati battled Cleveland, he chucked it up an astounding 61-times.
The former LSU star hasn’t thrown a TD pass in two straight, but did run in a score this past weekend and delivered his fourth 300-plus yard effort. The Browns have a burnable secondary and that makes Burrow a terrific under the radar streamer.
Washington Football Team – Defense
Yahoo! League ownership: 22 per cent
Draft Kings salary: $2,500
Playing any DST against this Cowboys offence at the start of the season would’ve seemed ridiculous. A Dak Prescott broken ankle later and a terrible debut for backup Andy Dalton has changed the conversation. Arizona dropped 15-points versus Dallas last week and I think Washington could surprise a lot of people Sunday. They possess four first-round draft picks on their defensive line that can get after quarterbacks. Especially with a Cowboys offensive line that’s been slammed by injuries.
There’s definitely a path for Washington to be the best value DFS defence this weekend at only $2,500.
