NURBURG, Germany — Even Lewis Hamilton once saw Michael Schumacher’s record of 91 wins as unbeatable. Now he’s matched it.

Schumacher’s son Mick presented Hamilton with one of his father’s old helmets after the British driver took a record-equaling 91st win at the Eifel Grand Prix.

“Seeing his dominance, I don’t think anyone, and especially me, didn’t imagine that I’d be anywhere near Michael in terms of records so it’s an incredible honour and it’s going to take some time to get used to,” Hamilton said, adding that he used to choose Schumacher as his character in a video game.

LAS VEGAS — Tied for the lead going into the weekend, Patrick Cantlay already was four shots behind before he hit his opening tee shot Saturday in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

That didn’t bother him in the least. He knows what to expect at the TPC Summerlin.

A tee shot so far left on the 10th hole that he had to hit a provisional? That made him a little anxious, but only until he found his original, hit wedge to 4 feet for birdie and began his climb back to where he started.

When the third round ended,

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — England’s Tom Breese spoiled Canadian K.B. (The Bengal) Bhullar’s UFC debut Saturday, handing the Edmonton middleweight his first pro loss on a televised Fight Night card.

Bhullar (8-1-0) had finished six of his previous fights in the first round. This time, he was the one that exited early.

Bhullar, who walked out to Bob Seger’s “Night Moves,” absorbed a couple of big lefts to the head early in the first round. And he went down after taking a powerful right jab to the face one minute 40 seconds into the round.
